Here is a beautiful interview with Jack and his new album. He does talk a lot about his time with PJ, shedding light on events and times that were, at the time, kept as priviate matters.
i found it a bit strange that he didn't really tell the band what was going on with him at that time... but i'm glad he's in a much better state of mind now and happy doing what he does...
shipping is free for the new album over at the 10C site... but i'm still not sure if i'm going to order it from them 'cause it always takes them quite long to ship to europe... and i'm waiting for my benaroya vinyl (sorry, i had to mention that )
Psycosmic, nice work scoring the Benaroya vinyl. I'm sure many people would love to be in your shoes and know a copy of its coming their way. I sympathize with you about the long waits for shipping and also the shipping costs. I'm not in Europe... Just a lil' north of the 10C here in Canada, and if I may vent for a second, the cost to ship here really does a number on the wallet, as we're charged the same amount as International customers across the rest of the globe. No offence, but personally, I wish there was some sort of North American shipping rate, just because the "distance" from the 10C HQ to Canada is quite short, relatively speaking. Waiting for a package isn't horrendous -- on the whole, I'd say it's in between waiting for something to arrive in the States and the wait for international customers such as yourself.
Really interesting interview. Nice to finally hear about things from Jack's perspective. Even when the other band members spoke of things, they never really shed a lot of light on things... Whether that was from truly not knowing the details of Jack's troubles, or just trying to be polite and not divulge his personal issues, I don't know. Again, great to hear he's doing well and back on the map musically.
I *think* the album came out a couple of days ago.
In case anyone remains curious about Attention Dimension, sound samples for all of the album tracks are available at www.allmusicguide.com if you look up "Jack Irons".
