Crohn's fundraiser

I remember complaining --on this board-- about the guitars PJ gave for auction, how cheap they were when they have so much buying power. I rest my case, they shut me up with this following one. I'm proud of them, again...

Does anyone know about DeVine Guitars? It's the first time I hear about them.

Pearl Jam auctions autographed guitar and drum

SEATTLE POST-INTELLIGENCER STAFF

A custom steel-string acoustic guitar and custom snare drum autographed by Pearl Jam's Mike McCready, Eddie Vedder and Stone Gossard, as well as other local musicians, will be auctioned on eBay to raise money for the Northwest Chapter of the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation of America.

The Pearl Jam bandmates, along with Left Hand Smoke, Brad and Vast Capital, performed at a CCFA benefit concert last Friday at The Showbox, raising more than $16,000 for the Northwest Chapter of the CCFA.

The online auction concludes at 5 p.m. Monday. For more information, go to www.ebay.com or www.pearljam.com

The guitar, donated by Eric DeVine of DeVine Guitars in Maui, Hawaii, has a retail value of $3,300. The drum, also made in Maui, was donated by Gabriele Sandys and has a retail value of $1,900.

The benefit concert and auction are the latest in a series of events to raise awareness and support for CCFA. For additional information about the organization, call 877-703-6900 or visit www.ccfa.org
