Hey Psycosmic, thanks for sharing this gem! Wow! I'm so excited for Jeff and the rest of the team! So proud !!! I'll try and follow the journey, if Kelley does write about it. I well imagine that Jeff will be taking pictures of the trip, will we ever see any??? This guy never ceases to amaze me, what a beautiful man
Well, we know where he's gonna be on his birthday this year! Send him all your thoughts!
Firstly, hey gang... I've been so busy, I've only been able to lurk, otherwise I would've replied immediately!!!
Psycosmic, thanks so much for posting that information. This Board was the first place I initially found out about Jeff's plans.
AnnePJFan, I think this is definitely a huge example of why we love him!
Wow, at the risk of sounding overly dramatic, I am totally blown away by this gesture on the part of Jeff and the other climbers. I actually have always had an inkling that Jeff would want to take a shot at climbing Kilimanjaro strictly for his own pleasure, plus we all know about his humanitarian side, and I think it's amazing that he's able to combine both of those things and do this for such a terrific cause. "Proud" is definitely how I'm feeling. As much admiration and respect as I had for Jeff even before this, it just increased tenfold.
By the way, just something I was thinking about, should anyone be so inclined... I don't want to come across as telling people whether or not to donate or who to donate to, but I've noticed that a lot of fans want to donate in Jeff's name, and while I totally applaud them for doing so, I was thinking it might also be cool to support Jeff, and the cause as a whole, by donating in the other climbers' names as well, since -- to be totally frank -- if there's anyone in that climb who could probably manage the monetary aspect on their own, it would be Jeff. Now, I'm definitely not saying NOT to donate in Jeff's name, but I think it's more about idea that the $10,000 deposit/donation/pledge would probably be a stretch for some of those other people who are going... What do you think?
Funny Psycosmic... I agree with Sarah, there are people other the Jeff and Pandora that needs more support. I don't know about Steve, he might have the support of the paper, there are other people on there that would need more support then those we immediately think about. Good initiative, Sarah! Hats off!
Hey Psycosmic, Are you keeping up with the news of the Kilimajaro Climb? They post updates everyday. Those guys facinate me... they inspire me... God knows I need that kind of "sunshine" these past months! Hats off to people of entreprise, willingness and social intelligence!!!

Ok i have to agree. Facination and INSPIRATION are great words to describe my feelings as well! hooray! go team go!!
*now to make a donation* my goal is to make a donation to each climber.. lol..
I've been keeping up with updates from the Climb as much as I can... (I can see Jeff in that new picture! Hehehe!)
I hope it didn't seem like I was telling people what to do in terms of our discussion about donations; I'm really flattered you agree with my idea, though I figured everyone here would probably be into donating a little to all of the individuals beyond Jeff -- and hey, I suppose support for Pandora is support for Jeff as well, huh?! She seems like a really great person; good for him for finding someone like her.
I can't get over the entire initiative of the Climb itself. Everyone who's doing it has my utter respect!
