Favourite Pearl Jam dvd??

I know this has been aired on the synergy board but what's the particular favourite dvd of Jaff's fans ?
My favourite is Showbox- the sound mightn't be as good as LATG but I like the small venue. Like the SVT dvd too(Jeff's interviews- it's the only time I've heard his voice) Hell, can't really decide...what do the rest of you think???

SVT is my personal favourite. I love the mix of music and interviews. I hope there are future Pearl Jam DVDs done in that format. Plus, Yield is my favourite album of all-time, and it's a record that I connect with in a different way than I do with even other Pearl Jam records, so for there to be a DVD/video that kind of "reveals the magic" behind the album is a big deal to me.

Watching SVT those first few times also gave me a tremendous appreciation for Jeff, since it was my first real "glimpse" of him as both a musician and person.

i'd have to go with SVT too, although it's so hard to choose. i like the relaxed way in which it's done - gives us a good idea of what really goes on behind the scenes. kinda like 'fly on the wall'. and the interviews are great!! it's rare you get to see the band as people like that.

i won't say svt because it's completely different from the other dvds... there's not really a competition... you can't compare them...

i'd like to see another svt rather than a concert dvd... but i think i watch the concerts more often than svt... i like the intimate feel of the showbox dvd but soundwise latg is their best concert dvd to date... i would have loved to see more of the european shows on tb2k because i just think they were more energetic... i might be biased... but i would have been so proud if there was more of me on tb2k than just a pixel for a split second...

imho, live at the garden is their best live dvd...

another question... is anyone in any of the dvds? tell us when and where...

as i said above, i'm not really in any of them... there's a shot in the europe section of tb2k where the camera moves over a very big crowd but you can't make out any faces... well, i know that i'm somewhere in there... not too spectacular, i know... but i know you all have better ones... tell us your personal pj dvd appearance stories

i finally realised what svt stands for ...

i had it taped but i'd like to buy the dvd cauz when i taped, there was ppl talking over the guys, so it's like... you listen to jeff and the rest of the guys but for very short periods, it sucks, i dont know why they did it once here they generally use subtitles instead...

Heather, I was looking for the Mother Love Bone video and found something on www,djangos.com.Although it is out of stock at the moment you can get them to notify you when they get it in. Unfortunately my video player died and they don't seem to have it on dvd but best of luck. Also there's a thread on synergy with a MLB video link. Anne.

Hey Pearl Zeppelin... Welcome! Are you a John Paul Jones fan?

Not to encourage you to go on some kind of spending spree, but I will say that if you're new to the band and enjoying Touring Band that much, you should certainly check out the other DVDs. I can almost guarantee you will someday have purchased them all -- kinda like Pearl Jam's studio albums in that regard!

I have seen the two MLB vids ("Stardog Champion" and "Holy Roller") and all I can say is "Wow, very '80s!" Ah, it's all good! There's a time and place for everything!

Mindshaker Meltdown, The Love Bone Earth Affair is a VHS that was released in either '89 or '90, featuring interviews with the band, live clips and the aforementioned MTV videos of "Stardog Champion" and "Holy Roller"). In some ways, I guess it's kind of like the Single Video Theory of Mother Love Bone, as it mixes music and interviews. Truthfully, I don't know too much about it, as I've never seen it, but I know it pops up on a certain online auction site pretty often, if you're willing to shell out the cash. I think the video runs about an hour.

The "Stardog Champion" video we're talking about is just the music video for the song -- an edited piece of the band playing mixed with other footage set to the song -- not live. It's what Mother Love Bone would have released to MTV/the music vid channels.
