Stupefied Fish

Hello again everyone,
Over the weekend, I came upon six 3Fish tracks I have never heard of. "Can I Come Along", "If Miles Were Alive", and "The Easy Way", said to be from the first album. Also "Landmine", "Let It Go" and "Stand Under", from The Quiet Table. Now, I assume that these tracks were released on the vinyl versions of the albums. Am I right? Cause there not on the CDs I have. Does anyone have the tracks?

Thanks

I've never even heard these but I'd love to. Has anyone any info about any internet sites where I could hear them?

It's a shame they weren't on the cd's.

Hi!

The first two songs are b-sides to the Laced single. As for the third song, i'm not sure..

I like 'Can I Come Along?', where as the ther is a little more experimental. Both good, but I can see why they didn't make the album - def not as strong.

Thanks Laura! But I have the single "Laced ". And there's only Laced on there. Is your version a UK release? Is it on CD? Now I want to put my hands on the albums vinyl versions... I wish myself luck!!!

What other tracks have 3F released as singles?

Thanx again, take care,

Yeah, they're from the vinyl versions of the 3 Fish albums... it's really worth having those albums on vinyl... they really lend themselves to the medium and the artwork is amazing!

I have the B-sides/vinyl tracks in .mp3. IMHO, "Stand Under" is one of the best songs they've ever done. I think it really highlights all the great things about the band. Great song.

I read somewhere (may have been via the Library of Congress) --- and I stand to be corrected -- but I believe Jeff wrote music and lyrics to "Landmine" and wrote "If Miles Were Alive" (instrumental). I remember thinking that "If Miles Were Alive" sounded like the equivalent of "tribal skateboard music" (for lack of a better way of putting it!), so of course, it didn't really surprise me when I found out who the writing credit implicitly went to!

Hello fellow bass player Elusive One,

Wow... It took me all that time to learn about those tracks!!!! Where the hell have I been! I got to get my hands on those vinyls. Now, where am I going to find those at a reasonable price. All the places I've looked into only have the CDs! Yup, Elusive One, believe me when I say that so envious of you!!! So, the art work is different then on the CDs? I so much fell in love with those albums, I feel like betrayed! 3F let me down! I need those songs!

So you play bass too? Is your band a tribute to 3F? I assume that because of your band's name, as you stated in another post. Tell me more! What's the music you play? Do you sing too? Do you gig a bit? What's your bass(es) and rig? Is it more of a hobby or do you plan on going further with the music?

Enough for now, I don't want to cram you with too many question in this one post, I'll keep some for later!!!
