Arrrgghh!! I can't open it!

Is there such thing as a direct link to the actual audio stream itself that I could just pop right into my MediaPlayer?!

No, there's no other link. I have Media Player 10, did you upgrade yours lately? Maybe it would help?!?! And if you right click on the link, and "save page as" on your computer, when you'll open it, you'll get a page that gives you options of players.

But here, I transcripted the Jeff part.

At 2 mins in the recording/audio file...
NPR's Mike Pesca:
While ACT registers voters, Move On engages in more aggressive tactics. Last week they took out a newspaper add which criticizes the Poland organization Galop for overstating the president's standing among voters. Pearl Jam bassplayer Jeff Ament (and the jounalists pronounces Ah-ment) supports those tactics.
Jeff:
"Now, I read those things ago, fine! (shrug/laugh) Finally there's another side... y'know, there's our side presenting the other side or trying to expose the other side, and that's, I guess you got to fight fire with fire, and I think it's the left's only chance"...

I think he meant "a while ago"... well, the transcript in integral.

There are other parts ot the interview involving PJ but only that snippet with Jeff.

Ah, thanks for that!...

I just listened to it on a different computer than I'm usually at and maybe heard one or two things slightly differently... I think what was said was this:

While ACT registers voters, Move On engages in more aggressive tactics. Last week they took out a newspaper ad which criticizes the polling organization, Gallup, for overstating the president's standing among voters. Pearl Jam bass player Jeff Ament supports those tactics:

JA: "Y'know, I read those things and go, 'Finally!' (laugh/shrug) Finally, there's another side -- y'know, there's our side presenting the other side, or trying to expose the other side -- and that's, I guess you got to fight fire with fire, and I think it's the left's only chance."
